About the project

The most relevant beneficiaries of the project activities are young people, including students from primary school to higher education, who will be trained on the opportunities offered by international programmes like Erasmus+ and on the importance of accessing the university, with a focus on STEM subjects as a possible career for female students.

The Universities of Countries not associated to the Programme (Albania, Montenegro, Bosnia-Herzegovina) are the protagonists of the action and host most of the project activities: they will improve the quality of their services, especially in terms of international cooperation and mobility programmes, through the training of their students and staff with the support of ESN – Erasmus Student Network.

The Universities from Italy, Croatia and Serbia represent an example of best practice to build stronger universities in Albania, Montenegro and Bosnia-Herzegovina and to reinforce regional cooperation.

ESN sections contribute to the creation of new sections in Albania and Montenegro, as well as to the training of ESNers from existing sections in Countries not associated to the Programme.

In the long term, the project will produce the following outcomes in the region: a) improvement of cultural and regional cooperation, b) Universities interconnected and capable of offering quality education, c) young people open to interculturality and mobility, d) more active and participative citizens.
