ESN Podgorica Section Opening Ceremony

The University of Montenegro celebrated 10 years of Erasmus+ on 13 October 2025. A special focus was dedicated to the creation of ESN Podgorica, highlighting the impact of Erasmus+ on mobility, learning, and international collaboration.

The event was part of the European initiative Erasmus Days 2025 and gathered professors, students, alumni, and representatives of partner institutions to celebrate international cooperation and mobility achievements. Vice-Rector for Internationalization Dr. Sanja Peković highlighted that the University had realized over 1,200 student and 900 staff mobilities in the past decade.

Ms. Nađa Stojanović, President of ESN Podgorica, spoke about the essential role of the Erasmus Student Network in supporting and connecting mobile students, fostering inclusion, and promoting intercultural understanding. She emphasized that ESN Podgorica, now officially registered as a non-governmental organization, represents a key pillar of the Erasmus+ program in Montenegro and a student organization dedicated to strengthening internationalization and student engagement in international activities.

Importantly, the official creation of ESN in Montenegro was marked by the establishment of ESN Podgorica as an NGO, which represents a major step forward for the local ESN community and its long-term sustainability.

The establishment of ESN Podgorica is one of the most significant results of ten years of Erasmus+ program implementation, marking a milestone that will further enhance the University's international activities and visibility.
